Alessia Russo Leads Arsenal’s Charge for Quadruple Success

England and Arsenal striker Alessia Russo has challenged her team to raise their game as they enter a critical phase in their pursuit of an unprecedented four trophies this season.

After a difficult start to the campaign, Arsenal have hit their stride under interim head coach Renee Slegers, going unbeaten in 11 straight matches across all competitions. At the center of this resurgence is Russo, who has been in scintillating form, scoring in all four of Arsenal’s December fixtures, including two double-goal performances.

Russo’s performances earned her the Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award for December. She netted three times in two league matches, delivering two goals in the 4-0 victory over Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium and the match-winning goal in a gritty encounter against Liverpool. Her WSL goal tally now stands at six, solidifying her role as a key figure in Arsenal’s attacking lineup.

Beyond league honors, Russo dominated Arsenal’s December awards, taking home both the Goal of the Month and Player of the Month accolades.

With their unbeaten streak intact and Russo in peak form, Arsenal are focused on maintaining their momentum and building on their successes as they chase a season for the history books.
